We, the citizens of the Kingdom of Galte, do establish this constitution to serve as the ultimate law of Galte, to keep and ensure freedom in the nation, and to help our nation evolve into a free state.

2.) The monarch shall serve a term at Their Majesty’s pleasure.
3.) When the monarch dies or steps down, the monarch’s next of kin shall be the next to serve as monarch of the Kingdom of Galte.
1.) The reigning monarch may entitle someone to the throne in their last will and testament, even if said person entitled to the throne is not the reigning monarch’s next of kin.
2.) If there is no next of kin, or the next of kin is not clear, and there was no person written on to the throne by the previous monarch, an election may be held to determine the next monarch.
Article II: Parliament
1.) The reigning monarch may choose to establish a Parliament.
1.) Once the monarch establishes a Parliament, the Parliament cannot be dissolved. A Parliament must remain throughout the remainder of the monarch’s time on the throne.
1.) If a Parliament has been established, it is to be dissolved 7 days after the end of the monarch’s reign.
2.) A monarch must state in the decree establishing a Parliament how many members of Parliament in the House of Commons there are to be for each citizen.
1.) This can be changed by the monarch at a later date so long as the total member of members of Parliament does not decrease.
2.) Members of Parliament are to be chosen by the citizens of the Kingdom of Galte.
3.) Members of Parliament can choose whether or not to affiliate with a party.
4.) Members of Parliament will be chosen for a 6 month term.
1.) No member of Parliament may serve more than 4 terms in Parliament.
2.) Any member of Parliament has the right to step down from Parliament at any time during their term.
1.) When a member of Parliament steps down, they are to be replaced within two weeks.
5.) Any bill on the Parliament floor shall pass with a simple majority vote.
1.) The monarch can veto any pill that passes on the floor.
1.) The monarch’s veto can be overridden with a ⅔ majority vote from Parliament.
Article III: Courts
1.) The monarch of Galte shall be the head of the High Court of Galte.
1.) As the head of the High Court, the monarch shall have the final decision in any court cases.
1.) The monarch’s decision may be overruled with a ⅔ vote from the rest of the court; if overruled, that is the final decision.
2.) Any court decision may be overruled by Parliament with a ⅔ vote.
Article IV: The Rights and Freedoms
1.) All citizens shall have the freedom of expression within the borders of Galte.
1.) This includes, but is not limited to, freedom of spoken language, freedom to assemble, freedom of the press, and freedom of religion.
2.) No religion shall be set official to protect this amendment.
3.) No press organization shall be given official status by the government to protect this amendment.
2.) All citizens shall have the freedom from unreasonable search and seizures by any government body.
1.) This includes the freedom from cruel and unusual punishment by the government.
2.) This freedom cannot be enforced when dealing with government forces outside of the nation.
3.) All citizens shall have the right to keep and bear arms.
4.) No person shall be held slave to another person.
5.) In any election, all citizens over the age of 14 shall have the right to participate.
Article V: Amending the Constitution
1.) Both Parliament and the monarch shall have the power to amend this Constitution.
2.) Any amendment introduced by the monarch must pass a vote from Parliament with a simple majority.
1.) Any amendment, introduced from both Parliament and the monarch, will behave like a bill and shall have the same rules apply to it as a bill.
This Constitution shall be regarded as the highest law of the Kingdom of Galte.
