What is the League Of Independent Nations?
During it's time the League has had 2 major leaders who have shaped it up to heights never before seen in the Micronational Community, obtaining over 50 Micronations at one point, It eventually split in two and rebuilt up in February, and has since grown into an organization back on the path it was Originally meant to be by Desslok V. Nafage the Leader of the Nexan Republic.
The LIN is dedicated to peace, Order, and stability. is anti globalist by principal and believes in a strong coalition of free and loosely bound Sovereign Nations that work together to better the Micronations community,
Nation Building Projects - The League engages in projects that otherwise help benefit or improve micronations that request the help of the League of independent Nation's assistance, All and any nations are allowed to contribute, different member states contributing staff and resources to help our efforts to build the Community up.
Requirements to join the LIN are loose, only that nations joining are approved by the Chairmen of the LIN of which Then nations sign onto the Libertas Convention, a document that has a basis and focus on liberty and indi
Past these few requirements of the LIN to join, or powers granted in the Libertas convention, there are no bounding laws or powers that the LIN holds over Member states, all of this
Defense - Unified as a coalition under the auspice of defending the micronational community, the League of Independent Nations works together against threats to the community including organized corruption, and extremism. delivering a fast response to extremist groups and Rouge States that threaten the Micronational community. An attack against one LIN state is an attack against all LIN states. Joining the League thus gets you powerful allies on your side.
In efforts against Terrorism and Hostilities, the Members of the Coalition may if decided have member states contribute forces to a unified cause, these forces at any time may be sent and/or recalled back to their nation whenever the nation's Government decides. An example of this would be the Perfection Conflict, and how LIN Coalition forces have sent in allied assistance to the Nexan Republic's war effort.
Sovereignty and Recognition - One of the purposes of the League is to organize territorial claims so to avoid overlaps, and, therefore, conflicts. All member nations are required to respect one another's territories. As such, any member nation may claim its independent territories, and all other member nations are bound to respect these claims.
Another goal of the League is to enforce an environment where all member nations recognize one another other's sovereignty and independence. By becoming signatory to the Arundel Convention, a new nation automatically gains the recognition of all older nations.
As it is centered around the both the Arundel, and now Reinforced with the Libertas Convention, member nations are provided with a definition by which they can prove their sovereignty. This definition is heavily inspired from the Montevideo Convention, as it enforces the Declarative theory of Statehood. However it is modified so to apply for a more modern era, and so to apply for the rest of the world (as the Montevideo Convention was intended for the American continent).
As an Organization the LIN operates on the Libertas Convention, a Cohesive document that structures the organization and makes the LIN have the backbone and structure it needs in order to become an effective Coalition.
