Acting as the prosecutor on behalf of LIN, I would like to make sure the case against Melodie Rivers and Taninim Long is approved before I present my opening statement and any evidence that is requested. I ask the fellow moderating chairmen and the head chairman for approval.

Now I have approval, I will present my opening statement.
I believe the former government of Alaurentia is guilty of violating the following sections of the Arundel Convention which, while now no longer enforced, must have violations punished in retrospect due to the failures of the former LIN to do so. The sections in question are:
Article 2 c) refrain from interfering with the government of any other nation signatory to this Convention.
Article 3 d) the Right of expression - no individual shall be coerced to remain silent, or coerced to express things against her/his will, as long as such expressions respect the Constitution and laws of the nation.
I believe that the former Alaurentian government official Mélodie Rivers, who now is the “Interim Press Secretary of Kebec” is guilty of violating both of these sections of the Arundel Convention. I do respect that her responsibility should be diminished as Taninim Long, the former leader of Alaurentia, took full responsibility for Mélodie’s action and destroyed evidence.
The violations with took place were all linked to one incident, where a chairman of LIN Desslok Nafage, who is now the Head Chairman Of LIN, was censored for promoting the use of “Illegal weapons” and promoting “Terrorism”. The act of censorship violates Article 3d and Mélodie said that Desslok’s weapons were illegal. This violates Article 2c as Desslok was not within Alaurentian borders at the time, and that means Mélodie enforced Alaurentian law on Nexan Territory. This is interference with the Nexan government’s authority over its own territory.

I would like to bring a new aspect of the case to the table. The nation of Kebec which was formed by Taninim, officially stated they were formerly Alaurentia and as such I believe they inherit Alaurentia's responsibility.
